Strengthening International Internship Opportunities for FHSS Undergraduates

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Daisuke Shikama, Resident Representative of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Colombo, together with a delegation from Japan, for a productive discussion with the Dean of the Faculty, Senior Professor Shirantha Heenkenda. 

The meeting focused on exploring collaborative opportunities to offer internship programs in Japan for FHSS undergraduates, aiming to enhance students’ international exposure, professional competencies, and cross-cultural learning experiences.

The discussion marked a significant step toward strengthening global partnerships and expanding international career pathways for students through academic and industry collaboration.
