The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, without deviating from the great vision and mission of the university, has been able to extend its educational and research offer in line with the national demand of the country. International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences (IRCHSS)
The 8th International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences, organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, invites researchers from around the world to submit their abstracts for presentation at IRCHSS 2023, to be held in a hybrid format on 16th and 17th March 2023. IRCHSS 2023 will feature a wide range of talks on humanities and social sciences and a symposium on English Language Teaching and Learning.

Vidyodaya Undergraduate Research Day (VURD)

International Conference on Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICICH)
3rd International Conference on Intangible Cultural Heritage organized by the Department of Anthropology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura is one of the very first conference in this field of studies in Sri Lanka. ICICH will be conducted under the theme “Enriching Global Citizens through Traditional Insights” which promotes folklore research among the academia.
The conference encourages research findings from various fields such as Animal lore, Plant lore, Food culture, Traditional medicine, Traditional knowledge, Folk Art and Craft, Folk Medicine, Folk Drama, Folk Tale, Traditional Heritage, Folk dancing, Supernatural belief systems, Religion and Magic, Folk Poems etc.
