Chair’s Message 

Welcome to the Centre for Sri Lankan Women Thinkers and Scientists (CSWTS). It is my honour to serve as the Chair of this Centre, established in 2024 under the Department of Philosophy and Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
The CSWTS is dedicated to recognising and celebrating the intellectual contributions of Sri Lankan women across diverse fields such as philosophy, science, arts, law, and technology. Our mission is to make their work visible, inspire future generations, and foster a culture that values women’s knowledge   and innovation.
Through research, collaboration, and public engagement, we aim to connect Sri Lankan women intellectuals with the global community and highlight their role in shaping our nation’s progress. Together, we strive to ensure that their voices continue to inspire thought, creativity, and positive change.
