JICA Volunteer

Ms Michiru Fujimaki, the new JICA Volunteer who will be joining the Japanese section of the Department of Languages, Cultural Studies and Performing Arts from June 2026, visited the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura on 2nd June 2026. She was accompanied by Volunteer Coordinator, Mr. Shinji Yamaguchi and Senior Officer Mr. Chaminda Ranasinghe of JICA Sri Lanka Office. Snr Professor Shirantha Heenkenda, Dean of the Faculty, Professor Nilanthi Rajapaksha, Head of the Department and the Japanese lecturers warmly welcomed her to the University. Ms. Fujimaki will be working in the university for two years sharing her expertise and contribute to strengthen the Japanese section.
