Inauguration of the Centre for Women Thinkers and Scientists (Voice of Ceylonese Women – VCW)

It was a proud and historic occasion as we gathered for the inauguration of the Centre for Women Thinkers and Scientists (Voice of Ceylonese Women – VCW) on 8th May 2025 at Sri Wimaladamma Mansion, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

The center was ceremonially opened by Prof. Sirantha Heenkenda, Dean of FHSS, with Prof. Asha Nimali Fernando as Chair, and Dr. Kaushalya Hewawasam as Secretary. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Aruna Walpola, Head of the Department of Philosophy and Psychology, Prof. Sanjeevi Maithrirathna, Dr. Ven. Meththananda, and other esteemed faculty members.
