1st International Research Conference on Gender Studies 2023

The first International Research Conference on Gender Studies aims to provide a platform for academics, undergraduates, organizations, and communities to come together to discuss, share knowledge, and promote awareness of issues related to gender to promote greater understanding, dialogue, and action around issues related to gender, and to work towards creating a more equitable and inclusive world for all individuals, regardless of their gender identity.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Extended abstract submission for IRCGS 2023 is open now. Please follow the guidelines and submit your extended abstract on or before 30th June 2023th June, 2023.

Conference Registration
  • Paper presenters should be registered.
  • A scan copy of the payment slip should be submitted with the registration form.
  • Registration fee includes participation to the inauguration session and all technical sessions, certificate for the presentation (only for the presenters) and soft copy of the Proceeding Book.
  • They are also entitled to the submission of a full paper to the ‘Pumithiri’ peer-reviewed e-journal, published by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Word count: maximum 350
  • Font size: 12
  • Medium: Sinhala or English
  • Font: FM Abhaya/ Times New Roman
  • Abstract paragraph (without sub-headings) should include: Introduction, Methodology, Results,
  • Discussion and Conclusion/s, 3-5 key words
  • 2 copies of the word document of the abstract should be sent; one with authors name/s and one without name/s

  • Notification of Acceptance - 30th August 2023
  • Submission of Revised Abstract - 15th September 2023
  • Registration Closing Date - 20th September 2023
  • Conference Date - 12th and 13th October 2023
Registration Fee
  • Student Registration Fee 1000.00
  • Non-student Registration Fee 2000.00

Note: a proof should be submitted for the student registration.

  • A certificate will be issued for the registered presenter
  • e-version of the Abstract book will be provided
  • selected full papers will be published in ‘Pumithiri’ e-Journal
