Second DELT assembly successfully held

The first-year undergraduates of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura successfully hosted the third DELT assembly on March 5, 2025. The event featured Professor Saumya Liyanage—renowned Sri Lankan actor and Senior Lecturer at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts—as the chief guest. Prof. Liyanage delivered an insightful session, sharing his personal journey toward becoming a well-rounded individual and academic, while also inspiring students with his thoughts on achieving personal goals.

The assembly showcased performances of Groups 4, 5, and 6, each delivering breathtaking acts, including group singing, drama, dance, and speeches. The students’ creativity shone through, especially in their fusion of diverse musical and dance genres, seamlessly intertwined with the English language.

This event served as an excellent platform for students to experience the power of creativity, dedication, and teamwork—rewarding them with confidence, joy, and a deep sense of accomplishment.
