SAARC Cultural Centre, Sri Lanka and the Department of Anthropology Discuss Future Partnerships

On March 4, 2025, a delegation from the Department of Anthropology at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura visited the SAARC Cultural Centre, Sri Lanka, to explore future collaborations. The discussion focused on strengthening ties between the two institutions, particularly in relation to the upcoming 5th International Conference on Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICICH 2025).
The delegation included Prof. Praneeth Abhyesundara, Dr. Nelum Kanthilatha (Secretary of ICICH 2025), and Dr. Tharaka Ananda (Chair of ICICH 2025). They met with Director Dr. Kaushalya Kumarasinghe and Deputy Director (Research) Dr. Bina Gandhi Deori at the SAARC Cultural Centre to discuss potential future partnerships.

Further discussions will continue to explore joint initiatives, fostering a potential partnership between the Department of Anthropology and the SAARC Cultural Centre, Sri Lanka, in advancing research and other collaborative opportunities.
