1. Accepting these terms
These terms apply to the We@FHSS mobile app provided by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura (“the Faculty”, “we”, “us”). By signing in, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. Who may use the app
The app is for students and academic staff of the Faculty who have a Faculty email account.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in details and your phone secure, and do not let anyone else use the app as you. If you think someone has used your account, email apps.fhss@sjp.ac.lk.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Mark attendance for someone else, or ask someone to mark it for you.
- Interfere with or misuse the attendance feature.
- Use the app on a modified phone, or modify or copy the app.
- Try to access information that is not yours.
- Submit abusive or offensive content in feedback.
- Use the app for anything unlawful.
Misuse may lead to loss of access and action under the rules of the University.
5. Attendance
Attendance must be marked in person, during the class. If it does not mark, tell your lecturer during the class. Attendance decisions are made by the Faculty.
6. Information in the app
Information in the app is provided for convenience. Where it differs from the University’s official records, the official records prevail.
7. Availability and updates
We aim to keep the app available but cannot guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. We may change features, and you may need to install an update to keep using the app.
8. Ending access
Student access ends when your batch passes out. Staff access ends when the University closes the account. We may suspend access if these terms are not followed.
9. Ownership
The app and its content belong to the Faculty. You may use it only for its intended purpose.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Faculty is not responsible for any loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app.
11. App stores
These terms are between you and the Faculty. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Use of the app is also subject to the rules and regulations of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
