Health Camp for Freshers at USJ
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura is delighted to share the success of our recent collaborative Health Camp, organized in partnership with the Lions Club of Galkissa and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura Alumni Association (USJ). The event took place on February 7th, 2025, and was a resounding success.
This Health Camp focused on providing essential health checkups for our fresh university students, ensuring they start their academic journey with a focus on their health and well-being. The services included eye examinations, diabetic testing, blood pressure monitoring, and general health assessments. We were also pleased to extend these services to our dedicated staff members who participated in the event.
The initiative highlighted our commitment to the health and welfare of our university community. The positive feedback from participants underscores the impact of this collaborative effort. Many students and staff members appreciated the practical advice and health insights they received, which will undoubtedly benefit them in their daily lives.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Lions Club of Galkissa and the USJ Alumni Association for their invaluable support and contribution. This event exemplifies the spirit of unity and shared purpose that is vital to our mission of fostering holistic development and academic excellence.
Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a success. Together, we have made a significant impact on the well-being of our students and staff, fostering a spirit of goodwill and collaboration.
