Conference theme: “Pathways to Excellence: from student to researcher.”
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura has organized ‘Vidyodaya Undergraduate Research Day” (VURD: 2018) for the second consecutive year aiming to open an academic platform for its final year students to present extended abstracts based on their final year Research Dissertation. The conference will be taken place at the Faculty premises on 10th and 11th July 2018.
Important Dates:
- Submission of Extended Abstracts – Closed
- Notification of Acceptance – 28th May 2018
- Workshop for accepted abstract submitters- 08th June 2018
- Submission of final extended abstracts– 12th June 2018
Conference Inauguration: 10th July 2018 at 3.00 pm, Sumangala Reading Hall
Technical Sessions: 11th July at 8.00 am, Sumangala Reading Hall
Awarding Ceremony: 11th July at 6.00 pm, Bandaranayaka Hall
This year’s Conference is chaired by Dr. Rev. Pinnawala Sangasumanathero, Senior Lecturer, Dept. of Geography, with the assistance of the Secretary; Mrs. Imesha Dharmsena, Senior Lecturer, Dept. of Sinhala and Mass Communication.
