Calling Applications for Youth Community Leadership Initiative (YCLI) programme

Youth Community Leadership Initiative (YCLI) programme is co-organized by the National Youth Services Council (NYSC), United Nations Volunteers (UNV), World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Sri Lanka.

This programme strives to equip young aspiring leaders across Sri Lanka with the skills and competencies that would improve their access to opportunities for meaningful engagement in promoting social cohesion and development. Utilising a healthy settings approach combined with volunteerism, the programme provides young leaders, the opportunity to engage with diverse communities and initiate development projects. It is aimed to enhance their political and civic representation and thereby addressing the issues of trust and lack of recognition they receive as leaders in their own communities.

To achieve these aims, Youth Community Leadership Initiative (YCLI) programme is now calling applications from young people in Sri Lanka.
