Mission
Assist in building the physical and spiritual development of university student community and people of the country by protecting, conserving and promoting Sri Lanka cultural identity.
Objectives
- Build a conducive cultural environment in the university and country, so as to motivate the people in realizing national development policies.
- Create a great culture in the country protecting the identity of each sub-culture while accepting the norm of Sri Lankan multi-nationality.
- Pave the way for adapting the cultural face of university community by conserving and sustaining cultural inheritances.
History
This cultural centre was opened by Hon. Monti Gopallawa, then Minister of Culture on 26.12.2000.
