DELT Magazine

The Department of English Language Teaching has given an opportunity to the first-year students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to publish their creative writing skills by way of this magazine. It contains a potpourri of creative writing including essays, poetry and short stories. The first volume of the magazine ‘Rise-Up’ was published in the year 2021. The second volume is to be published this year.

DELT Speech Star 2023

DELT Speech Star 2023, the oratorical competition organized by the Department of English Language Teaching (DELT) aims at developing the public speaking skills (English) of the first-year students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS). It was noticed by most of the lecturers that the speaking skills of the students could be developed by providing more opportunities to use English. Drama Competition 2023

DELT is also organizing a Drama Competition which is to be held at the end of the second semester. This event is organized to help the students to showcase their skills in acting and performing. It is observed that the activity-based oral English programme conducted by the department has helped the students directly to improve their drama skills. The best dramas will be selected for the concert and staged in order to encourage the students.
