With the guidance of the Head of the Department, Prof. Alexander Kapukotuwa, the Department of History and Archaeology organized an awareness workshop for their academic and non-academic staff members on the upcoming Programme Review (PR) of the Degree Programmes and the new File Management System introduced by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, on the 25th of February 2022 from 9.00am – 12.30pm, at Mendis Rohanadheera Hall of the department.
The awareness workshop was graced by Prof. Shirantha Heenkenda, the Dean of the FHSS, and he appreciated the effort and the dedication of the department towards these Programme Review and New File Management System programs. The invited resource person Prof. Charmalie Nahallage, who is the Coordinator of the Quality Assurance Cell-FHSS and the Head of the Department of Anthropology, made her awareness presentation on the upcoming Programme Review (PR), which is expected to be held by the end of the year 2022. Dr. Nelum Kanthilatha, who is the Vice-Coordinator of the Quality Assurance Cell-FHSS and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology, made the staff aware of the new File Management System and pointed out the areas to be improved in the new file management system of the department by briefing out the remarks of three Quality Assurance review cycles. In addition, the staff members were given the opportunity to discuss and have a further understanding of the two programs with the two resource persons.
