Workshop – “Pathways to Excellence”

The Economics Association of the Department of Economics has planned to host a specialized workshop series on Employability Skills and Soft Skills. This initiative aims to equip participants with advanced strategies to foster career readiness, adaptability, and professional excellence.
The inaugural workshop was held on the 20th of January 2025 at the Sumangala Auditorium. The guest speaker for the workshop was Prof. Hiran Amarasekara, who shared his vast knowledge with the students. With years of experience and a passion for educating, Prof. Amarasekara undoubtedly inspired attendees during this session.

This engaging session was designed to enhance students’ academic and professional journeys. Prof. Amarasekara focused on the practical uses of AI chatbots (e.g., ChatGPT), LinkedIn, Eduroam, and free access to the university’s library resources.
