Register for the Aptitude Test
Bachelor of Science with Honours in Information Technology is one of the most competitive and valuable degrees offered by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The newly founded department of ICT has over 200 alumni and serves over 100+ undergraduates currently.
This aptitude test serves as the primary selection mechanism for the BSc (Hons) in IT degree program, aimed at narrowing down the candidate pool to 60 individuals. According to the faculty prospectus, these selected students will initially enroll in ICT courses offered by the department in their first year. Subsequently, based on their academic performance, the top 25-30 students will be further chosen to continue with the 4-year BSc (Hons) in IT degree program, starting from their second year.
Note: The aptitude test serves as a preliminary step to determine students’ eligibility for enrolling in BSc in IT courses during their first year. This test is a foundational criterion for the BSc (Hons) in IT degree program. However, participation in the aptitude test does not guarantee eligibility for the 4-year BSc (Hons) in IT degree. Selection for the 4-year program, in accordance with faculty and department guidelines, will be based on the highest GPA scores students obtain in the first year.
