Opening of “The Kernel” ICT Laboratory

The Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) proudly marked a significant milestone with the opening of its new laboratory, “The Kernel.”

The opening ceremony, held on November 27th, was attended by Prof. B. W. R. Damayanthi (Head of Department), Mrs. Samantha Geeganage (Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences), and Mrs. Dhammika Galkaduwa (Senior Assistant Bursar), alongside academic staff and students.

In a move to highlight student achievement, the lab was officially inaugurated by Miss Sasanthi Ranagala (Sri Soratha Medalist, 51st Convocation) and Mr. Dhanujaya Dilmith (President, ICTSA). This state-of-the-art facility was realized through a generous donation from the Hanshan Institute of Jiangsu Buddhist College, China, strengthening international collaboration to support student-centered technological advancement.
