Industrial visit is a also part of the degree program, during which students visit companies and get insight regarding the internal working environment of a company and how a company functions, as well as useful information related to the practical aspects of the curriculum which cannot be visualized in lectures.

Industrial Visits to the Polytex Garment Ltd., Koggala was conducted for the course unit of ECON 4130.3 with the guidance of Senior Lecturer Wasana Kalansooriya. The main objective of this field visit was to identify the export procedure of garment sector and to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats faced by the company. There by providing the undergraduates a guidance to gather knowledge about how export sector of Sri Lanka exists.
