Launching ceremony of “Vidharani” an academic volume annually published by the Students Association of the Department of History and Archaeology in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was held on 23rd November 2017 at Sumangala Reading Hall. One Volume was entitled as “Prof. Malani Andagama Honorary Volume” and the other one as “Prof. T. G. Kulathunge Honorary Volume”.
Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. D. P. S. Chandrakumara, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Malani Andagama, Prof. T. G. Kulatunge, Dr. K. M. Alexander, Head of the Department of History and Archaeology graced the event. Academics of the Department of History and Archaeology including , Senior Lecturer; Rev. Dambara Amila, Senior Lecturer; Dr. Gamini Ranasingha, and Mr. W. M. Dhanapala, Senior Lecture in the Department of Criminology, Dr. Sunil Rajaneththi, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Criminology as well as undergraduates participated in the launching ceremony.
