The Students’ Association of the DSS Proudly Presented the Magazine Launch and Musical Evening

The Students’ Association of the Department of Social Statistics proudly presented the Magazine Launch and Musical Evening 2024 event on 18th October 2024 at the Sri Sumanagala Auditorium. During the event, Sankhayana Saraniya magazine, a collection of scholarly and creative works by the Department’s students was officially launched. Moreover, award-winning Sinhala Lyricist Mr. Nilar N. Cassim delivered a speech on Aesthetic Aspiration and Art of Lyrics during the event. Prof. Shirantha Heenkenda, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Mr. Lasantha Nawarathne, Head of the Department of Social Statistics, academic staff members, alumni members and the students of the Department joined the gathering. In parallel to the event, students of the Department demonstrated their skills in music and dancing while presenting heart-touching songs to the audience.
