The Department of History and Archaeology of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer (Contract).

Lecturer (Contract) in Archaeology

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeology from a recognized university, preferably with a First Class or Second-Class Upper Division. The department is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the following subject units: Archaeological Exploration, Archaeological Excavations, Archaeological Conservation, Maritime Archaeology, Post Excavation Analysis, Archaeological Reporting and Report Writing, Museology and Knowledge of the Use and Handling of Archaeological Equipment in the Field. Candidates must also have at least two years of teaching experience.
