The inauguration ceremony of the Diploma Programme in Sociology conducted by the Department of Sociology in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the university was held on 3rd November 2018 at the Seminar room of the respective department.
Prof. D. P. S. Chandrakumara; Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Mayura Samarakoon; Head of the Department of Sociology, Mr. P. L. T. Purasinghe; Head of the Department of Political Science, Prof. W. A. S. Wijekoon; in the Department of Sociology and Dr. Neranji Wijewardhana; Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminology participated in the event.
