A virtual session series on “Changing the University Towards a Green Culture / හරිත සරසවි සංස්කෘතියක් කරා” organized by the Green Hub of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was held on 24th February 2021 from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm through Zoom.
This session was conducted by Eng. V. R. Sena Peiris; Mechanical Engineer and an international expert in Cleaner Production, Life Cycle Analysis, Eco Design, and Energy Management. He is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, the University of Colombo, the University of Peradeniya, and the Open University of Sri Lanka. He was the founding Director/Chief Executive Officer of National Cleaner Production Centre Sri Lanka as well as the President of Asia Pacific Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production from 2010 to 2014. Currently, he is the President of Lanka Responsible Care Council, President of National Expert Committee for Climate Change Mitigation, Director of Business and Industry Development Services.
