The Department of English offers two Bachelor of Arts degree programmes related to English.
This offers the students the opportunity of reading for a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. First , students are admitted to the general degree programme. If they meet the required entry criteria for the special degree (specified under Qualifying requirements) after their first year examination, they will be able to follow the special degree in English. Those who do not meet the entry criteria for the special degree can read for the general degree programme.
This is only offered as a special degree. However, students who fail to meet the entry criteria to follow the TESL degree after their first year examination have the opportunity to read for the B.A in English general degree.
