Our Mission
Serving as a platform for acknowledging and rewarding Sri Lankan women intellectuals including thinkers, and scientists who lived in our history and living in the contemporary society.
General Objective
The CSWTS intends to acknowledge Sri Lankan women intellectuals, thinkers, and scientists across various fields, including philosophy, arts, fine arts, science, economics, innovation, technology, agriculture, engineering, justice, law, peace studies, social sciences, humanities, and politics. The CSWTS not only recognizes the capabilities of Sri Lankan women thinkers and scientists in different fields, but also rewards them. It also aims to make their contribution available to the public and raise public awareness of their contribution at the national and international levels.
Specific Objectives
To discover Sri Lankan women intellectuals including thinkers and scientists in every field and acknowledge their contributions;
To reward Sri Lankan women intellectuals including thinkers and scientists in every field;
To make their contribution available to the public at large;
To explore and acquire knowledge about women philosophers worldwide, including European, American, and Indian women philosophers, and educate students, undergraduates, graduates, and scholars on this subject;
To exchange the wisdom, knowledge, and intellectual ability of Sri Lankan women thinkers and scientists with the international community;
To encourage young and fresh Sri Lankan women intellectuals including thinkers, and scientists in the above fields and get their contribution to address current issues in different fields; and
To network and partner with organizations that have similar aims aligned with the objective of the CSWTS
