Music Scholar – A Magazine on Global Music Matters” is an online biannual magazine initiative that provides a scholarly and creative platform for undergraduates, graduates, and other degree holders to publish academic and practice-based music-related work published by the Department of Music and Creative Technology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. The magazine will feature Sinhala and English content and focus on global and local perspectives in musicology, music education, music technology, music industry, and related fields. Contributors are requested to submit Feature Articles that maintain an academic tone, rather than full-length research papers.
The Journal of Exploring Music (JEM) is an online, double-blind peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Department of Music and Creative Technology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. It is envisioned as a scholarly platform dedicated to the dissemination of research and the promotion of interdisciplinary dialogue in music studies. The Journal aims to support both emerging and established researchers by publishing original research articles, review articles, analytical essays, fieldwork reports, interviews, book reviews, and case studies in, but not limited to, the following areas.
