Awareness Session for Junior Academic Mentors at the Department of Anthropology

The Department of Anthropology conducted an awareness session for the junior academic mentors of the department on 30 July 2025. The program was facilitated by Prof. Indira Mawella, Department of English and Linguistics who highlighted the importance of the mentoring initiative and elaborated on the crucial role played by junior mentors in supporting second year undergraduate students. During the session, Prof. Mawella discussed how mentoring fosters academic guidance, peer support and a positive learning environment within the department. The session also aimed to familiarize the mentors with their responsibilities and encouraging them to approach their roles with empathy and commitment.
