3rd year (Special degree – English Medium) undergraduates of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice and final year (Special Degree- Sinhala Medium) undergraduates of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences participated in two day residential workshop organised by the Asian Human Rights Commission. Resource person of the workshop was Director of the Asian Human Rights Commission, and Senior Lawyer, Mr. Basil Fernando.
Workshop was held on 14th and 15th November 2017 at the Ecumenical Institute for Study and Dialogue, Havelock Road, Colombo. Financial assistance and other resources for the workshop were supplied by the Asian Rights Commission. Prof. Mayura Samarakoon, Head of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology also participated to the workshop. Coordination of the workshop was done by Dr. Neranji Wijewardane, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
