2nd Folklore Research Symposium organised by the Cultural Center and the Art Assembly of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura will be held on 15th and 16th December 2017.
Until now at about 300 research abstract has been submitted to the conference and are being reviewed by experienced academic review panel.
Folklore research conference of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura is one of the first conference in this respective field. This has given an great opportunity for the researchers who are doing their research in various fields of Folklore in Sri Lanka. As our country is rich in its folk traditions and literature this precious cultural traits have to be taken in to the future for out next generations. Folklore research conference is one of the major platform which will give the opportunity to preserve this valuable traditions.
