VURD 2019 – Workshop on ‘How to Write an Abstract’

As an initial step of Vidyodaya Undergraduate Research Day (VURD) 2019, two workshops were organized on ‘How to Write an Abstract’ on 07th March 2019 at the university premises. The first session was conducted by Rev. Dr.  Pinnawala Sangasumana, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Geography and the second session was conducted by Dr. Chitra Jayathilake, Senior Lecturer of the Department of English and Linguistics.   Both the sessions were concluded successfully with higher participation of the fourth year undergraduates.  A basic understanding was provided to the participants on the process of writing an abstract based on their own final year dissertations. This knowledge will help them to produce quality abstracts for the VURD 2019 and also in their future research and publication endeavors.
