Vidyodaya Undergraduate Research Day (VURD) 2019 was organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) for the third time with the theme “Scaffolding for the Future: Unleashing Undergraduate Research Potential”. The main objective of this research conference is to create a platform for the final year undergraduates who follow special degree programs in different disciplines to reach higher levels in their academic research endeavors. Moreover, the conference provides exposure to the students on the creation of knowledge and how to share knowledge through conferencing. In addition, the conference will strengthen the skills of the students which are needed to transform them into quality ‘social scientists’ and ‘humanists’.
This year’s Research Day will be taken place at the Sumangala Reading Hall of the University on 5th and 6th December 2019.
