Deccan College , Post Graduate and Research Institute, Deemed University, Pune India agreed to jointly undertake archaeological excavation and research and strengthen the mutual academic exchanges.
Agreements between the two institutions were focused to develop collaborative programmes in archaeological excavation and research, promoting scholarly exchanges among members from both sides, and jointly hold relevant academic activities, as well as to protect cultural heritage prevalent in both India and Sri Lanka. Programmes and activities such as archaeological excavations and laboratory research, especially comparative archaeology of early civilizations, archaeology of Buddhism and archaeological science will be conducted under the MOU signed in 14th February 2017.
