She was accompanied by Volunteer Coordinator, Mr. Shinji Yamaguchi and Senior Officer Mr. Chaminda Ranasinghe of JICA Sri Lanka Office. Snr Professor Shirantha Heenkenda, Dean of the Faculty, Professor Nilanthi Rajapaksha, Head of the Department and the Japanese lecturers warmly welcomed her to the University.
