On 20 March 2026, in celebration of the International Day of La Francophonie, students of French from the Department of Languages, Cultural Studies and Performing Arts proudly welcomed Her Excellency Ms. Isabelle Martin, High Commissioner of Canada, and Mr. Patrick Pickering, Second Secretary at the High Commission of Canada, for a memorable visit. The event fostered a rich cultural and academic exchange. The program began at 10:30 AM with a warm welcome, followed by an engaging session where Her Excellency shared insights on the role of French in diplomacy, global relations, and education. A key highlight was the generous donation of books by the Canadian High Commission, supporting French students\u2019 language learning and cultural knowledge. An interactive discussion encouraged students to explore opportunities in the Francophone world. The event concluded successfully, leaving participants inspired and reinforcing the importance of French language, culture, and international collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
