This was\u00a0established\u00a0to ensure that the quality and standards of the academic\u00a0programmes\u00a0offered by the\u00a0faculty\u00a0are\u00a0maintained\u00a0in order to\u00a0meet the changing demands and challenges of higher education. The QAC functions as a member of\u00a0the Quality\u00a0Assurance Unit (QAU) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.\u202f Its functions are guided by the Vision and Mission of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The primary aim of the QAC is to promote,\u00a0maintain,\u00a0monitor\u00a0and ensure effective learning environments while conforming to the guidelines provided by the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF) and relevant Subject Benchmarks.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The QAC is headed by the Dean of the Faculty and consists of a Coordinator, a Deputy Coordinator and representatives from the respective degree\u00a0programmes\u00a0offered by the\u00a0faculty.
