Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice chancellor of the University, Prof. D. P. S. Chandrakumara, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences participated in the inauguration ceremony of the conference.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">Dr. Dunesh Gunathilake, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies in the Faculty of Humanities chaired the conference with the support of Dr. Nimal Wasantha Mendis Senior Lecturer in the aforesaid Department as the secretary.
