In this course students will learn the principles of GIS and RS and how to apply them in the handling and processing of geo-spatial data.\u00a0<\/p><p>The Department of Geography of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura has taken an initiative to fill the above lacuna by offering one-year Diploma Programme in GIS &amp; Remote Sensing for the benefit of non-graduate students and employees. Hence, this will be an excellent opportunity for the students to increase their employability on one hand, and for the employed participants to get qualified in the GIS &amp; RS field and to serve their institutes in more professional way on the other.
