Field visit to Yapahuwa Excavation site

Second and fourth year Anthropology students participated to a field study at Yapahuwa on 18th May 2017 to cover up the practical component of their course units; ANTH 2106 and ANTH 4110.
Yapahuwa is a very important prehistoric site in Sri Lanka. Its excavations are going on to reveal the prehistoric significance of the area. We would express our gratitude to Mr. Thusitha Herath and his staff in the Central Cultural Fund at Yapahuwa to their explanations and kind support to success the field study. Dr. Sepala Samarasekara, Dr. Nelum Kanthilatha, Mr. Sumanajith Kumara and Ms. Asintha Indeewari participated to the field study with students.
