The University of Sri Jayewardenepura congratulate Ms. B. S. Dilrukshi, undergraduate of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science (Department of English and Linguistics) in the University of Sri Jayewardenepura who was nominated to represent Sri Lanka at the 10th South Asian Japanese Language Speech Contest conducted by MEXT Alumni Association of Pakistan in cooperation with SAFJUAA, supported by the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan. The contest was held on the 17th of March 2018 at National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences in Islamabad, Pakistan and she succeeded in winning the 2nd place in the Senior Category.

Ms. B. S. Dilrukshi, won the 1st place in Category B (Senior) at the Annual Japanese Language Speech Contest 2017 organized by the Japanese Language Education Association of Sri Lanka in association with the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka, The Japan Foundation and the Japan Sri Lanka Technical and Cultural Association last year, thereby qualifying her participation in the 10th South Asian Japanese Language Speech Contest.
