Guest lecture series organized by the Department of the Criminology and Criminal Justice of the FHSS held on 17th and 24th May 2018 at the Department Premises. The first lecture was conducted by Dr. Anusha Edirisinghe Senior Lecturer, in the Department of Sociology in the University of Kelaniya on “Unnatural Female Deaths in Sri Lanka”.
And the second lecture on “A Critical Reading on Culture and Violence” was conducted by Mr. Sudeera Jayaweera, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Sociology in the Universit of Kelaniya.
Academic members including Mrs. Anuruddhika Buddhadasa, Head of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Dr. Rasanjale Perera, Ms. Nishani Ranaweera and undergraduates of the department actively participated in the lecture series which were focused to cover practical as well as the theoretical knowledge in the field of Sri Lankan Criminology.
