A session on research and postgraduate scholarship opportunities in Japan was held on 23rd July 2020 at the Boardroom of the FHSS by Senior Prof. H. D. Karunaratne; consultant to the University of Tokyo, Japan. This session was mainly focused on encouraging junior staff members to apply for research, postgraduate scholarships in Japan that are available under scholarship programs offered by various Universities in Japan, mainly by the Tokyo University as a world leading university.
This session was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Shirantha Heenkenda; Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Junior staff members of the faculty actively participated in the session which gave them an opportunity to enhance their knowledge in research and postgraduate studies.
