Inauguration of the Diploma Programme (2018/2019) in Sociology, conducted by the Department of Sociology in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences will be held on 28th April 2017 at the Department premises.
Viche Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. D. P. S. Chandrakumara participated in the ceremony as chief guests. Also, a former dean of the Faculty, Prof. P. Athukorala, Head of the Department of Sociology, Prof. Mayura Samarakoon and academic members including Mr. Vijekoon A. Subhasinghe, Dr. Neranji Wijayawardhena also participated in the inauguration ceremony to welcome the new batch for the Sociology Diploma Program.
