Apply Now for Research Awards 2017

Staff members in the permanent service in University of Sri Jayewardenepura in the year 2017 can now apply for Research Awards 2017. Deadline for the submission is 1st August 2018.

Applicants should have been in permanent service in University of Sri Jayewardenepura in the year 2017 to be eligible to apply for Research Awards 2017.

Award Categories are as follows

  1. An abstract published in local/foreign conference proceedings or symposium
  2. A full paper published in local/foreign conference proceedings
  3. A full paper published in a refereed journal
  4. Full Paper Articles published in University Journals (New)
    * A permanent staff member of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura could apply
  5. A full paper published in any indexed journal (Any indexing service other than listed in category 6 below)
  6. A full paper published in an indexed journal

  7. Researchers having the highest citations for the year 2017
    1. To be considered for the category 7 awards the researcher should have an h-index of 5 or more
    2. Three awards per each faculty will be awarded
    3. 1st, 2ndand 3rd places will be awarded once in three years for the same candidate with effect from 2016
  1. Researchers having the highest h-index for the year 2017
    1. To be considered for the category 8 awards, the researcher should have an h-index of 5 or more
    2. Three awards per each faculty will be awarded
    3. 1st, 2ndand 3rd places will be awarded once in three years for the same candidate with effect from 2016
  1. Researcher having highest citation impact (based on the citations for 2017,2016 and 2015)
    * Three awards per each faculty
  2. Departments having highest cumulative citations for the year
  3. Early Career Researcher Award
    1. h-index should be 5 or more than 5
    2. Researcher should be in Senior Lecturer Grade II
    3. Researcher has to be less than 40 years by the deadline for the Research Award Applications
    4. Corresponding author of the published article
    5. University of Sri Jayewardenepura should be the corresponding author’s affiliation and the University’s email address should be on the research article
    6. Award will be given to the candidate who has the highest cumulative impact factor for the full papers published in Index Journals(SCI/SSCI/AHCI/Elsevier SCOPUS/ Emerald Insight/ Cabell’s International)
    7. This award will be awarded once in the lifetime for a candidate with effect from 2016
  1. Vice Chancellor’s Award (Follow CVCD guidelines)
    1. Applicants have to be in permanent service at University of Sri Jayewardenepura for last five years.
    2. No faculty member may receive the award more than once every five years.
  2. Journals published in the University (New)
  3. Conference proceedings published by the University (New)
  4. Researchers who have obtained external research grants
  5. Emeritus Professors (Researchers having h- index 10 or above)
