පුස්තකාල පොත්පත් සඟරා නැවත පුස්තකාලයට බාර දීම

2021 වර්ෂයේ උපාධිය සම්පූර්ණ කල උපාධි ලාභීන් වෙත විස්තරාත්මක ප්‍රතිඵල ලේඛන නිකුත් කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය කටයුතු මේ දිනවල සිදුකෙරෙමින් පවතී. ඒ අනුව සියලු සිසු සිසුවියන් විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයීය පුස්තකාලයෙන් ලබා ගන්නා ලද සියලු ග්‍රන්ථ නැවත පුස්තකාලයට බාර දිය යුතුවේ.

මෙතෙක් එම ග්‍රන්ථ බාරදී නොමැති නම් පුස්තකාලයට පැමිණ හෝ පිළිගත් (කුරියර් සේවා) භාණ්ඩ ප්‍රවාහන සේවා සපයන ආයතනයක් මගින් හෝ ඒවා බාරදීමට සිසුන්ට අවකාශ ඇත.

කුරියර් කිරීමේදී පුස්තකාලයාධිපති, ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය, ගංගොඩවිල, නුගේගොඩ යන ලිපිනය භාවිතා කළ යුතුවන අතර ඒ පිළිබඳ වැඩි විස්තර දැනගැනීමට 0112-758526 දරණ දුරකථන අංකයට ඇමතිය හැකිවේ. (කුරියර් සේවා රිසිට් පත් සුරැකිව ළඟ තබා ගන්න)

නැවත සියලු ග්‍රන්ථ පුස්තකාලයට ලැබීමෙන් පසු අදාල ශිෂ්‍යයාගේ පුස්ථකාල ගිණුම යාවත්කාලීන වන අතර ස්වයංක්‍රීයව ලැබෙන කෙටි පණිවිඩයකින් ඒ බව ශිෂ්‍යාට තහවුරු කර ගත හැකි වේ.

එලෙස තහවුරු වීමෙන් පසු පුස්තකාලය විසින් පීඨයට කරනු ලබන නිර්දේශය මත විස්තරාත්මක ප්‍රතිඵල ලේඛන තැපැල් මගින් සියලු සිසුන්ට ලැබීමට සලස්වනු ඇත.

Settling of Library Dues

Due to prevailing travel restrictions in relation to the pandemic, the faculties in the university have decided to issue transcripts and send them by post to relevant students. In support of this process, it has been decided to request students to pay off their library fines to the university fund as per the instructions given below.

Procedure for settling library dues

  1. Settling counter fines

 The students who have counter fines only need to pay the fine as a bank or online transaction to the A/C No: 097-1-001-6-2315454 of the People’s Bank, Gangodawila branch. The scanned copy of the bank slip/ screenshot of online transaction should be sent to readerservices@sjp.ac.lk email address. The original slip/ print copy of screenshot should be sent by post to “Main Library, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Gangodawila, Nugegoda” within one week. It is required to mention the name, student registration number, faculty and a contact number of the student along with the bank slip or screenshot of online transaction.

  1. Returning of overdue books

 There are two options for returning of overdue books.

  • The student can return the books and pay off the counter fine by physically visiting the Main Library. If the student finds it difficult to come personally, somebody else can visit the library to return due books on behalf of the student.
  • The student also has the option of couriering the due book. Before sending the books via courier service, the student should pay off the counter fine either to the bank or as an online transaction to A/C No: 097-1-001-6-2315454 of the People’s Bank, Gangodawila branch. A print copy of the screenshot of the transaction or original bank slip should be sent along with the books when couriering. It is required to mention the name, student registration number, faculty and a contact number of the student along with the bank slip or screenshot of online transaction. Contact, Librarian Office/ Ms. Maduka Bandara – 011-2758526 for courier purpose. Once the books are received and checked in properly, the library will clear off the dues in the student’s online library account. The student should keep tracking their account on this. It should be noted that until the books are received to the library, the responsibility of the books is with the student.
  1. Loss of library books

 In the case of loss of a library books, the student has two options to settle the due, either by submitting another copy of the same book (replacement copy of the same or advanced edition) or paying off for the book.

  • When submitting the replacement copy, details of the due book can be obtained from the circulation history in the student’s online library account. Replacement copy and counter fine can be submitted by physically visiting the Main Library. If the student finds it difficult to come personally, somebody else can visit the library to return due books and pay fines on behalf of the student.
  • The student also has the option of couriering the replacement copy. Before sending the books via courier service, the student should pay off the counter fine either to the bank or as an online transaction to A/C No: 097-1-001-6-2315454 of the People’s Bank, Gangodawila branch. A print copy of the screenshot of the transaction or original bank slip should be sent along with the books when couriering. It is mandatory that the student sends a request letter including the name, student registration number, faculty and a contact number of the student to the library to submit the replacement copy. Contact, Librarian Office/ Ms. Maduka Bandara – 011-2758526 for courier purpose. Once the books are received and checked in properly, the library will clear off the dues in the student’s online library account. The student should keep tracking their account on this. It should be noted that, until the books are received to the library, the responsibility of the books is with the student. Please note that the replacement copy will be accepted as a replacement only after examining whether it is up to the standard.
  • If the student opts for paying off for the book, the student needs to send the written request to the library with contact details to calculate the due amount (value of the book and counter fine). These requests should be forwarded to readerservices@sjp.ac.lk. Once the calculated amount is informed to the student, s/he needs to pay that amount as a bank or online transaction to A/C No: 097-1-001-6-2315454 of the People’s Bank, Gangodawila branch. The scanned copy of the bank slip/ screenshot of online transaction should be sent to readerservices@sjp.ac.lk. The original bank slip/ print copy of online transaction should be sent by post to “Main Library, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Gangodawila, Nugegoda” within one week. It is required to mention the name, student registration number, faculty and a contact number of the student along with the bank slip/ screenshot of online transaction.
