The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences have planned to implement in providing scholarships and internships for the students and the academic staff of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. In order to further initiate these programs, the Dean, Professor Shirantha Heenkenda had a discussion at the faculty with the Future Lanka Research and Development Foundation, the pioneer Career guidance solution entity in Sri Lanka along with the University of Bolton and the University of Northwood. According to the discussion, the faculty officials suggested in including scholarship programmes for masters, academic staff (junior academic staff) and fresh graduates along with pathway programmes to UK and UAE where both the parties analyzed about the possibilities of bringing in student exchange programmes for both UK and UAE. In this discussion, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the faculty was represented by Dr. Shantha Gamlath and Professor B.W.R. Damayanthi and the other party was represented by the Director Admissions of the University of Bolton and University of Northwood Mr. Raj Nambiar, the Directors of Future Lanka Research and Development Foundation Mr. Dian Baduge and Mr. Nuwan Jayawardana and the Country Manager of Sri Lanka Mr. Sampath Soysa.
