A two-day workshop on administrative functions of the faculty was held on the 4th and 5th January 2022 with the participation of the Dean of the FHSS, Professor Shirantha Heenkenda, Heads of the Departments, the Senior Assistant Registrar, and the Senior Assistant Bursar.
The first day of the workshop primarily focused on providing a comprehensive understanding of the compilation of the corporate plan and the Programme Review, while also focusing on the initiatives to be taken for the progress of the faculty. The first day concluded with a primer for the next day’s activities.
The second day of the workshop comprised of preparing the action plan with a special focus on the research and publications intended to be initiated by the faculty. As the faculty has benefited from the projects launched by the AHEAD grant, a review of the projects was presented by the AHEAD Coordinator of the faculty. The two-day workshop concluded with an interactive roundtable discussion that created a forum for the participants to express their ideas and comments freely.
