A Guest Lecture on “Anthropology: Scientific Method and Ethics” by Prof Samanthi Kulatilake

A Guest Lecture on “Anthropology: Scientific Method and Ethics” for the 4th year undergraduate students who follow Advanced Physical Anthropological Theories Course Unit, in the Department of Anthropology, USJ was held on 20th January 2022.

This lecture was conducted by Prof Samanthi Kulatilake of the Department of Sociology & Anthropology, Mount Royal University, Canada.

The lecture highlighted the use of scientific method and related ethics when conducting anthropological research involving human participants. In addition, ethical practices and applications in biological anthropology were broadly discussed during the lecture.

The lecture was organized under the terms of the MOU signed between the Department of Anthropology SJP and Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Mount Royal University Canada.
